Today's the big day to hear the heartbeat(s). It was crazy how fast their hearts beat, about twice as fast as a normal adult. With there being twins, it cannot be determine which heartbeat we were listening too but the doctor said it sounds great. Due to our recent hospital visit, we asked to also have a sonogram performed, which the Doctor obliged us. Both babies were seen and their heads are huge compared to their bodies.

Little scare
Today we had a little scare, Misti was extremely sick and needed medical attention. After 6 hours hooked up to an IV and additional medicine administered, she was feeling well enough to return home.

Hello Doctor
Met with Dr Froeschke for the first time. He's a very nice man that is straight to the point honest. Dr Froeschke performed another sonogram to see the heart beats. It was amazing to see both hearts beat so quickly. Also to my joy I saw right baby's hand wave. Both babies look to be twice the size they were only a week ago.

The first picture
The first sonogram of our baby. Misti, Mark, Toi, and I went to the doctor for the first sonogram and received confirmation that the babies are doing well. Yes, twins. This is the first time we found out there are two babies in Misti. We were both shocked and excited. For the past couple of weeks Misti and I talked about how one baby was going to add to our life but two is a whole new ballpark. That night we called all the grandparents and relatives to share the great news, twins. I wrote up an email to everyone and scanned the pictures.

Doctor Visit
Our first doctor's appointment where we met the nurse, received another positive pregnancy test, and clean blood work. The basics of pregnancy were talked about and prenatal vitamins were prescribed.

Life has begun
I awoke to Misti holding a pregnancy stick. Still half asleep I tried to read the display but only saw a straight line. To my surprise I found out that straight line was the word pregnant. We were happy and wanted to make sure it was true so we bought another box of tests for Misti to take each morning that week.
