Belly - week 30

Have we been busy, Friday was another doctor's sonogram visit and Saturday was the baby shower. It feels like Christmas with toys and stuff filling every room. Everything is returning to normal, clothes have been cleaned and toys assembled. The nursery is coming together nicely and is only missing two very important pieces, our twins.

Belly - week 29

We have a big weekend coming up, it's baby shower time. I thought our house was full with the furniture but it's going to get packed with toys and clothes. If our girls are anything like their mommy, I'm going to have to build more closets in the house to hold all the clothes.

Belly - week 27

One week closer to the big day. We have an exciting weekend planned, we are doing our 4D sonogram on Saturday. From what I have seen of other 4D sonograms, it's going to be amazing what we get to see. I hope everyone is enjoying the blog and feel free to leave comments or encouragement for us.

Sonogram 4/3/09

Week 26 - update

Well, it couldn't have gone any better.
The only negative thing is that twin A is now breached/bottom first, but there is still plenty of time to flip again.

If not there is no question it will be a C-section - now that is the worst thing they found today - we already assumed we will most likely have a c-section, just for safety reasons for both babies.

They both are growing at an incredible rate.
Twin A is 2.1 lbs
Twin B is 2.3 lbs
They have plenty of fluid and were moving around like firecrackers during the sonogram this morning.

Twin A looks like superman, she had her hands above her head like she was flying through the entire visit (no wonder I feel like my ribs have been getting a beating lately). She is in the middle of my stomach and taking up as much space as she wants to. I have a feeling she is going to be the dominant sister.

Twin B is in a tiny little ball on the right side of my stomach. She was playing peek a boo - no, not like Billy plays peek a boo - she would cover up her face then drop her hands, and kept repeating it. She is going to be the class clown sister.

They are starting to look like real babies and more and more human. It is just crazy how big they are!
We have sonogram pics, but they aren't really that great.
We also got a DVD of it, so when we get home we will check it out, and Mike can add it to the baby blog this weekend!
So go and check it out!

The good news is, we don't have to see Dr. Froeschke until April 17 (2 weeks) which he is the one that will deliver the babies.

And even better, we don't have to see Dr. Goldaber until April 24 (3 weeks) which he is the perinatal specialist that looks for any problems.

We couldn't have asked for a better appointment today :)
Mike and I are so excited, each visit just keeps getting better! We can't wait for Ava and Alexa to get here!

Just wanted to keep you all up to date!
