Well it has been a while since we have updated how life has changed. It has been very busy, with Mike going back to work about a month ago, and this being my last full week off. Can you believe Alexa and Ava are already 9 weeks old? Time has been flying by. The girls have already had their 2 month appointment, let me tell you, it was awful listening to them scream and cry. As if it isn't bad enough to hurt one of my babies, they did it to both. Unfortunately, Mike could not get off work, so my mom went with me. I would not have survived it without her. After 5 minutes of near death screaming all was good and we were headed home! Even though the shots were awful, they both slept through the entire night and had to be woke up the next morning to eat. Speaking of sleeping, they are doing great, they both pretty much sleep through the entire night every night.
Now a little about each individually.
Alexa: Even though she is only 9 weeks old, she already weighs 10.4 pounds and is 22 inches long. She is very head strong, loud, likes to get her way all the time, and she needs constant attention. That is where she acts a lot like her mom :) By looks though, she is spitting image of her father, and when asleep is dead to the world, also like her dad. A great thing about her is she loves being outside. She cries when we spend more then a couple of hours in the house and needs to go out, whether it be for a walk in her stroller or carried in the Baby Bjorn.
Ava: Even though she is only 9 weeks old, she already weighs 10.2 pounds and is 22 inches long. She has her own uniqe personality. She is calm, laid back, and never causes a scene. She must get that from her dad. The only time you hear her is if she is hungry or has a dirty diaper. She loves to be cuddled and held. She is a huge girly girl, being very prissy and delicate. Ava looks like both her mom and dad, as of now she doesn't favor one parent more then the other. Ava also enjoys being outside going for walks, even though she falls asleep after about 3 minutes of it.
Together they have began noticing things, they love starring at trees, leaves, sky, anything that moves. In their swing they both watch the mobile when it it spins around, and in their bouncy they both reach for the toys hanging over their head. They are not able to grab and hold the toys, but they hit it with their hand and watch them move. They love being read to, Brown Bear Brown Bear is their favorite book, we read it everyday!!!
Life has changed dramatically in the Griese household, and it gets better and better everyday.
