September 2011

It has been so hot that we really needed to get out of the house and do something. We decided just to take a walk through the Parks Mall, nothing needed, just time out away from the house. We packed up and headed out! After getting to the mall, Alexa spotted the carasoul! We thought, sure why not let them ride, they will enjoy it.

An hour and a half later, I am forcing Alexa off, all the while, she is kicking and screaming. Who would have thought she would ride the "horsees" that long. After that it was time for lunch, so we stopped at the food court and grabbed some Sonic, then off to see what was happening at the mall.

We walked all over, the girls people watched, it was a very relaxing afternoon. For being such good sports we decided to reward them with a Build A Bear.
I am pretty sure most of you know the routine, but for those that don't:
You pick a bear, take it over to the "stuffing machine"
pick out a heart, kiss it, and put it inside the bear

Next you go to the bathing station, and clean your bear up. (below pic)

Then pick out an outfit, dress it and give it a birth certificate:

Please welcome 2 new members of the Griese Family:

Bow Bear (Ava's bear - she chose the name because the outfit has a bow that goes on its ear)

and Baby Bear (Alexa's bear - she chose the name because it is in PJ's and baby's need sleep)

The girls are really starting to get into movies, and love watchin certain ones. We all got together as a family and rented Rio, popped some popcorn, set up a pallet and had us a movie night.

The movie wasn't the best Johnny Depp, but still okay. The girls enjoyed their popcorn, so all in all, successful evening!

There was also a 1st for Alexa and Ava - - - STORYTIME - - - at Kennedale Public Library. They sit around and a lady reads them a story, and after they make a craft based off what the story was about. They are so excited to show me what they made every Wednesday.

To end the month, I celebrated my 31st Birthday with family at Joe T Garcias. I have to say, the month of September has been a great month! Now we move into our BUSY time of year, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years!!!
