The girls had their school Christmas program Tuesday and did AWESOME. Last year they cried, had to go potty and caused a scene. This year they sang, danced and Ava even picked her nose :)
They got to wear their new Christmas outfits, got a haircut and looked like princesses!
They sang Tingle (Jingle) Bells, Holy Night and 28 days 'till Christmas. I couldn't be more proud of them, they did a great job!!!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...
Well even though the weathers been awfully warm, we have began the Christmas decorating. Lights are on the house, yard ornaments have been put up, and the tree has been decorated!
The girls enjoyed helping this year and were super excited that Debo (Elf on the Shelf) has come back. Not to mention mommy and daddy are happy Debo's back. Alexa and Ava have been having some pretty bad attitudes!
Can't wait to see how fun Christmas will be this year.

Fort Worth Parade of Lights
This past Friday we headed to downtown Fort Worth to see the parade of lights, lighting of the tree an play in the fun zone. We had a great time, except Ava wasn't feeling so great, but she toughed it out as long as she could. Both girls loved the miniature bikes with Elvis' driving and the miniature horses with the carriages on the back. We bought seat this year so we didn't have to worry about getting there early and trying to find a spot on the curb. We had a great time and can't wait to do it again next year!!!

Plenty to be thankful for...Happy Thanksgiving
This year my grandparents have been super busy with doctor appointments and surgeries, so to give them a break we offered to host Thanksgiving at our house. With that said, I did nothing to prepare, my aunts, uncles and parents set everything up and then Mike cleaned everything up. So I was very thankful for them. We enjoyed a great time just eating
(way too much) and catching up on what everyone's up to.
The girls also had a school party, and sang a couple of songs for us. Mike, my parents and I got to attend. They were so excited to see us there! I just love to see their faces light up when good unexpected things happen for them!

60 years, couldn't be more in awe of my grandparents!
My grandparents (mama and papa) just celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary. Such a huge accomplishment! They really are amazing role models who do what very few couples do these days, they have stayed together, worked together and continue to get through every situation together.
My grandparents raised 5 successful children,

and these 5 have raised 8 successful grandchildren, and last but not least us 8 are in the process of raising 15 great grand children (with 1 on the way).

My aunt and uncle hosted an amazing party in honor mama and papa for 60 years of marriage.
People say pictures are worth a thousand words, hopefully seeing that all their family shows up to enjoy their special day proves how amazing these 2 people are. This is my grandparents, their 5 children w/ spouses, 8 grandchildren w/ spouses and 15 great grandchildren.
I love you mama and papa, and congrats on your 60th Anniversary!

Halloween, Halloween and more Halloween!!!
This year it seems like Halloween flew by. Between Pumpkin Patch, Boo at the Zoo, school parade and party, and a trailer ride through the neighborhood to go trick or treating, we did it all, and are exhausted.
We met up with Derik, Joni, Abbey and Emma to hang out at the zoo.

We even got our 1st season pass to the zoo. They were so excited to take their picture with their costumes on.

G-Ma, Cannon, the girls and me had so much fun playing the games and seeing all the animals. It was a pretty cold day, however the girls were so excited about their costumes and wanted to show them off that it was hard to get them to keep their jacket on.

Then it was time to enter the Boo at the Zoo part. They are at the perfect age where they could participate in all the booths and games. The Little Gym also had a both set up with rings, balance beam and bars, so of course Alexa and Ava had to show off their "nastic skills." Cannon however wanted no part of it, he just stayed off to the side and waited until it was time to get in the bounce house.

We even got to decorate a mini pumpkin and take it home. The girls were so excited, since daddy's been out of town, they decorated theirs for him.

There was a stage set up where a group would come play music and sing. That was right up the girls alley. They ran right up to the stage, danced and sang their little hearts out!

To finish off the perfect day at the zoo, of course we had to take a train ride!

Now to school...on Wednesday the girls school asked that we dress the kids in their Halloween costumes so they could show them off in a parade that morning. I took the day off work and G-Ma met me up there to watch them. They looked so cute following the line through the main halls...

Then they had a party where they got to decorate a sugar cookie as a cat. They worked hard and did a great job decorating their cookies! I m happy I got to be a part of their day. They are growing so fast, I am so proud of these 2 amazing little girls.
To finish the night off, some of our family came over for dinner and trick or treating. We borrowed a trailer, put some blankets down and they were off. Since there would be lots of in and out, up and downs, walking, etc. I opted to stay home and hand out candy. Before they headed out I got a couple of Pics of these awesome kiddos! The report I got was all the kids got more candy then they could possibly ever eat, and there were a couple if incidents of running through yards and getting some stickers. Besides that, very successful trip and can't wait to do it again next year!
All in all it was a great Halloween! We are very blessed to be surrounded with such amazing family!
