First Alone Trip with all 3...

Where better to take my 3 crazy monkeys then to the zoo? This was my first "alone" outing with all 3 and I was pretty nervous I may lose one of them, but we went anyways. As we got there I bribed the girls and told them if they stayed close and did not run off I would get them some ice cream and we would ride the train. Needless to say, everything went great! All the animals were active, we hit the lions at their feeding time ( which was amazing to watch them eat), and the girls behaved better than great!
Lucas slept most of the time, and while awake he was not interested in any of it. The girls said their favorite parts were:
Alexa watching 2 birds dive into their "pond" and get minnows out to eat. (We watched them for about 20 minutes, it was amazing to see them "fight" for their territory and how sneaky and quick they put their heads in for minnows.).
Ava enjoyed putting her hand in the water and feeling all the water urchins. She liked the way the starfish felt the best.
They both really enjoyed the train, and Lucas even woke up for the end of it. This was his first train ride.
We had a great day and will be doing it much more as the weather gets warmer!

Soccer is Dynomites...

Well the girls started soccer, actually, they started a pre-soccer program. They are called the Dynomites and they love it. They meet every Saturday for a little over an hour and a half, do some drills and scrimmage at the end. It's very new to the girls to do an organized team sport, but they are learning. They also meet at the same time the boys team does, so they get to see Cannon. They all 3 are doing a great job listening to their coaches.
I am so excited to see what the next week brings. I couldn't be more proud of these gals.

Lucas is 2 months...

I can't believe my sweet little boys already 2 months old. He is growing like a weed, 12 pounds and 23 inches long. You have the longest toes ever, I had to post a pic. His 2 month appointment went great, considering there were shots and the doctor poking on him. This past week you have become so alert and aware of your surroundings. You recognize mommy and daddy's voice and turn your head to find us. You also have began smiling, controlled smiles. It just melts my heart to see you smile. You have been such a great baby, go with the flow, sleep about 5-7 hours at night (but wake up, eat and right back to bed). The girls and mommy and daddy love you to the moon and back!

Easter Egg Hunt #3 and 4

Easter Day is here, and the Easter Bunny made the girls day. Before going to bed the night before, the girls left their Easter basket full of empty eggs outside their door. When they woke up Easter morning they were screaming and hollering, the Easter bunny took the eggs and brought them bathing suits, hula hoops, goggles, water toys and lots of other goodies. He even took all the Easter eggs and filled them with money and candy and hid them all over the living room for the girls to find. The girls loved every minute of it.
After playing and going thru their eggs, we got dressed and headed to my parents house for more fun.
My parents picked up some barbecue and we pigged out! The kiddos played with the toys that G-Ma and G-Mark got them. The guys went out front and hid some eggs everyone brought. After full baskets, the 4th and final egg hunt was over. We had an amazing weekend with family, and can't forget the reason for Easter. Thank you Jesus Christ for dying for our sins and rising from the dead. Thank You for this sacrifice and forgiving us of our sins. Happy Easter!

Easter Egg Hunt #2

I had some family over on Good Friday for some snacks and an egg hunt. We had a blast. One thing I love about my family is how close we are and how well we all get along. All our little ones are getting to be the perfect age where they understand the fun in racing to get eggs in their baskets! We also made individual pots and planted seeds and decorated the buckets and dyed eggs. Thanks everyone that came out! We had so much fun and hope to do it again next year!
