Grandma and Grandpa Griese came in from Virginia to spend the holiday's with us. They got here on December 22nd, and the hustle and bustle of Christmas began.
We went to Mema and Papa Powells house on Christmas eve. Ate way too much and got way to many presents. The girls received chalkboard and magnetic board easels, baby dolls with accessories, babys that have the cutest little covers over them, and more stuff I can't even remember. I am so mad at myself though...I didn't take ANY pictures at my grandparents house. I have no idea how I overlooked this very important detail, but I did :(
Then Christmas eve night, we opened the Griese family presents at our house. The girls were overwhelmed, princess clothes, princess books, princess keyboards (do you see the theme here :)) soccer ball, bats and tees, tons and tons of stuff. Needless to say that night we were all exhausted, but the girls still poured some milk in a cup, and left some cookies they made out for Santa.
The next morning, I was up at 6am...Just waiting for the girls to wake up. I even made cinnamon rolls like a Christmas tree waiting on them...
I thought they were going to sleep in forever. I was banging stuff around and making all kinds of noise. FINALLY, they woke up and came downstairs...Their eyes lit up...(all they had asked for was a pink princess barbie (Ava)
and a blue princess Barbie (Alexa)
not only was there the pink and blue princess Barbies, but about 12 more to go along with them. They were so excited, they couldn't figure out what to play with first. On a side note, there were additional gifts that Santa brought, but none were as important as their princess Barbies.
Then it was time for showers and off to Mama and Papa Biondi's for the Biondi Christmas party. Out family just keeps growing and growing.

My Beautiful Family
Before heading home, we got to watch Ashlyn and Aly serenade us with a couple of songs...Watch out Taylor Swift...These girls are the next big thing :)
Finally, time for the last party of the weekend...The Griese/Biondi/Riggs immediate family at our house...Talk about being worn out and stuffed...But, the party must go on...There were so many presents, I don't even know where to start...But my FAVORITE was the Dyson hand held no plug-in vacuum...AMAZING...I can take it in the car, quickly suck up something the girls dropped...By far the best gift of the holidays :)
We had an amazing Christmas and are truly blessed to have all our family around to celebrate "baby Jesus' Birthday."
