Easter Egg Hunt

I got a message from a great neighbor and friend about Betty Fry (a Real Estate agent for Rendon) hosting an Easter Egg Hunt at her house. So of course, we just had to go...I knew Billy would be fishing so I called Jacy (who is 7 months pregnant) to see if her and Cannon wanted to come. They came over and we headed out. This was so much fun, the girls and Cannon had a blast...They had so many activities, pics with the Easter Bunny, a bounce house with a slide, balloon animals, train ride, real horses in the barn to see...and of course the EGGS GALORE...

As soon as we got there, we were greeted by the Easter Bunny

Look at all those eggs in the background

Of course we had to take a train ride...

Time to get our balloon animals:

Alexa wanted a Cannon wanted a Ava wanted a
white bunny monkey on a tree pink monkey

And all 3 with their balloon animals

Last but not least, time to hunt some eggs...

We had a great time and really enjoyed this FREE activity. Thanks Donaho Family for letting us know about this great event!!!

Pickle Parade

I had seen some posts on Facebook about a Pickle Parade in downtown Mansfield, so I checked it out on-line and looked like lots of fun...
We headed out about 1:00 for St. Paddy's Pickle Parade...

After we got there we decided to stop and eat at Stevens Garden and Grill. Wouldn't recommend it, horrible service, disappointed in the food and all around bad experience. I am hoping they were just overwhelmed because of the parade ending at their restaurant. After over an hour of waiting, our food was delievered...Mike had ordered chopped beef nachos...All I saw was chips and sour cream...I think they forgot the beans, cheese and chopped beef...My food was good, no complaints, however I was thirsty...we had our initial drink order, and when our food was delivered I asked for another diet pepsi, and no one ever came back. We had to get the hostess to bring us our ticket, because the 2 servers in our area didn'tbring it to us...but enough of that, back to the parade.

After lunch, we walked around and checked out the pickle drinking and pickle eating contests...The Pickel Queens (dressed in green prom dresses) and all the booths set up with crafts and activities.

Now it was time to find our spot on the curb and watch the parade. The girls enjoyed watching all the different floats, getting beads and candy, and all the activities going on.

Alexa, her mouth was full of tootsie rolls...

Ava watching to see what's coming next in the parade...

They really enjoyed the Elvis' on pocket bikes...

And since it was the Pickle Parade...Of course best maid had to be involved...

After the parade, we had one last stop...The pickle train...The girls were so excited, they crawled right into their place on the train, andoff it went...about halfway through, Ava was not having any part of it...Screaming uncontrolably, the driver decided to cut the ride short...I did get a picture before Ava jumped out though...

We really had a great time at the parade. There was a huge turnout and lots fo things to keep us entertained! I really hope this becomes a more then 1 time thing...if it's around again next year, you can guarantee we will be there!!!

Spring Break comes to an end...

Well, we didn't do much better of getting pictures done to end our spring break...

However, the girls had a blast on Thursday getting to hang with daddy all day. After they were up and ready they went and picked up the trailer then headed to Rocky's for some sand...Ours and my parents sand boxes needed some sprucing up before summer gets here...So they "helped" load sand into the trailer and then "helped" unload at our house and my parents house. After the child labor was complete, they spent a couple of crazy hours of riding on the lawn mower and jeep and four wheeler and chasing eachother around the backyard. Then they had a cookout, with hot dogs and ate out on the back porch. When it was time for a nap, and they were out!

Friday was my day again!!! Some of our favorite girls got together and met at the park to play and have lunch...We had so much fun. I love spending time and catching up with my cousins and am so blessed that my girls get to grow up with their family so close. There aren't many families that are as lucky as mine is. I never take for granted how special my family is! I love them dearly!!!

Aren't these just the most precious group of girls you have ever seen?

They had so much fun playing, Logan, Brylee, Addison, Brooklyn and Abbey,

thanks for spending the day at the park. Alexa and Ava had a super time!!!

Half Way through Spring Break

Since the girls started school this year and G-Ma went out of town, Mike and I are learning what spring breaks all about...

On Monday, we had the girls baby sitter come over and spend the day with them...She is so great, and the girls had so much fun playing with her. She was even nice enough to send me 2 pics of the girls having a good time...

Then Tuesday, Joni and Lisa were nice enough to watch the girls...and a special THANKS to Abbey for sharing all her toys and princess dresses. The girls had a super time playing with you guys...and even the special surprise visit from TyTy and Aly, who stopped by to play for a bit...Joni, also on the ball, had sent me pics of them playing throughout the day...

Alexa is just too cool in her dress and glasses...

Alexa showing off her Dora dress...

What fun with beans and rice and noodles...

Wednesday...Now it's my day to spend time with my 2 favorite little people...We woke up, had breakfast and got ready for story time. Joni, Abbey and Emma...Ashley, Jaisa and Griffin joined us at the library for story and craft time. Not only did we spend time with our friends, but I ran into a girl that I had gone to HS with. After the library we all headed to Burger Box for lunch and play time. Then after we got home, took naps (yep including me), ate dinner and played outside. The weather has been amazing so far through this spring break...
Unfortunately, I am the one to fail this week...we had an amazing girls day and I didn't take any pics...UGHHH...

Thursday is Mike's day off with his little ladies...and Friday I will be off again to enjoy time with the girls...Hopefully we get some pics...

A lot thrown into one...

Well, I have fallen behind on my blogs again. So here is me, trying to throw a lot of stuff into one post :)
As promised...We decided to do some "decorations" to our house...Words don't do it justice and pictures don't either...We are in love, we have been playing and eating dinner outside these are our new rituals...How have we survived without a back porch? The shutters and covering at the front door are all new...They have really added some character to our house...LOVE IT
Now, the back, we went side to side and covered and concreted the entire thing. In the begining I thought we were "over-doing" it, but now that it's done...I could not be happier!!!

For Valentines Day we headed to the mall for fun free activitite. This is such a great event for kids and moms. They have crafts, coupons and dancing. After we got there and settled, we had a surprise visit...G-Mark showed up to play also.

Alexa really enjoyed dancing and singing. She enjoyed it so much she decided to jump up front and head it up with the lady in charge.

As a ritual for Valentines Day, even before kids...We enjoy dinner at Hooters. It is one of the only places you don't have to make a reservation for, don't have to get overly dresses up...and now after children, a place you can go out for dinner and take your kids. I say this, however this past Valentines Day, I was disapointed...it seems that other parents of small children have figured this out, and Hooters was packed! We did have about a 5 minute wait, then were seated. My mom and dad also joined us for dinner.
The girls enjoyed it, because they got a balloon, and we sat at a high table, so they got to sit in "big people" chairs (they were high chairs, but tall).

Alexa cheesing it up with G-Mark

Ava giving G-Ma some kisses

March 2nd was a super busy day...Not only was it Texas Independence Day

It is Dr. Seuss' Birthday!!! What else, but the Cat and the Hat hat for crazy hat day at school...

and Green Eggs and Ham for Breakfast...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DR. SEUSS!!!
