We headed out about 1:00 for St. Paddy's Pickle Parade...
After we got there we decided to stop and eat at Stevens Garden and Grill. Wouldn't recommend it, horrible service, disappointed in the food and all around bad experience. I am hoping they were just overwhelmed because of the parade ending at their restaurant. After over an hour of waiting, our food was delievered...Mike had ordered chopped beef nachos...All I saw was chips and sour cream...I think they forgot the beans, cheese and chopped beef...My food was good, no complaints, however I was thirsty...we had our initial drink order, and when our food was delivered I asked for another diet pepsi, and no one ever came back. We had to get the hostess to bring us our ticket, because the 2 servers in our area didn'tbring it to us...but enough of that, back to the parade.
After lunch, we walked around and checked out the pickle drinking and pickle eating contests...The Pickel Queens (dressed in green prom dresses) and all the booths set up with crafts and activities.
Now it was time to find our spot on the curb and watch the parade. The girls enjoyed watching all the different floats, getting beads and candy, and all the activities going on.
Alexa, her mouth was full of tootsie rolls...
Ava watching to see what's coming next in the parade...
They really enjoyed the Elvis' on pocket bikes...
And since it was the Pickle Parade...Of course best maid had to be involved...
After the parade, we had one last stop...The pickle train...The girls were so excited, they crawled right into their place on the train, andoff it went...about halfway through, Ava was not having any part of it...Screaming uncontrolably, the driver decided to cut the ride short...I did get a picture before Ava jumped out though...
We really had a great time at the parade. There was a huge turnout and lots fo things to keep us entertained! I really hope this becomes a more then 1 time thing...if it's around again next year, you can guarantee we will be there!!!
