This past week, the girls class did lessons on manners. To end the week, they were asked to dress in their Sunday best and be escorted by the boys to a breakfast. The girls loved it! They were so excited that a boy pulled their chair out for them, and of course, they loved wearing their new dresses.
On Friday evening we made our first attempts at cake balls (well G-Ma baked, we iced) , they were super yummy! I also saw a post on Facebook with a recipe for pizza balls. It was so easy and kid friendly to make that we did those also. The girls loved putting everything together! They seriously love to bake! I need to keep finding more recipes for them!
Saturday we had Emma's 1st birthday party at Going Apes. I don't know what it is about that place that turns the girls into turbo overdrive, but they go 90 to nothing the entire time they are there. Emma had a great party and got some super cute gifts! Joni also did an amazing job of decorating and putting together goodie bags (individualized with each child's name).
Then Sunday came, the girls were so excited CANNON's coming over!!! Billy and Jacy had their couples fishing tournament and asked if we could keep C and C for the day. We had so much fun playing, making monkey bread and planting flowers.
Then it was time to start a new week with new adventures...but that's another blog..until then, here's some pics from this past week...

Easter Egg Hunt #1
Betty Fry held her annual Easter Egg Hunt this past weekend at her house. We enjoyed it last year and decided to go ahead and go again this year when we got there the first thing the girls wanted to do was get their face painted. Alexa chose a ninja bunny and Ava a butterfly. They both turned out so good, and the girls loved looking in the mirror to see them. After that they girls and Mike took a ride on the train; Lucas and I decided to stay behind and hold the Easter baskets.
Then time for the egg hunt. The girls did so good this year. They understand the concept a little more and were able to get eggs on their own. Before heading home I talked the girls into posing for a pic with the Easter Bunny by allowing them to have a balloon animal, so we stood in the super slow line and Alexa got a pink horse and Ava a pink princess wand. Last but not least the girls did some bouncing and sliding in the bounce house.
We had a great time this year and can't wait for next years!

Pickle Parade...
Last year we went to Mansfield's 1st Annual Pickle Parade and had so much fun we couldn't wait to go again. This past Saturday we piled on the green and headed downtown. Joni, Lisa, Jason and the kids met us down there. The girls were super excited to see Abbey, Emma, Aly and Tyler. Also, G-Ma and G-Mark showed up. This years parade was even better then last years. More floats and more beads and candy! The kids had a blast...even though the weather was a bit warmer then I thought it was going to be!

It's already been a month?
Where does the time go? It has been a month since we were blessed with Lucas! When we came home from the hospital he had lost about a half a pound, however at his 2 week appointment he was up to 8.5 ( a tenth of a pound over his birth weight). At home, we have been very busy adapting to all the changes. The girls have been having a hard time adjusting, but are getting better daily. I am learning what up every 3 hours is like again (how did we ever survive twins). It is tiring, but I wouldn't change it for anything. Lucas truly is a great baby. He seldom cries, goes with the flow and doesn't get frustrated when the girls mess with him.
However, here's a few pics from our past month.
